Diophantus
250 AD

Diophantus was an ancient Greek mathematician often called the “father of algebra” for his pioneering work in solving equations. He wrote the Arithmetica, a collection of problems that systematically explored what are now known as Diophantine equations—polynomial equations seeking integer solutions. His methods introduced symbolic reasoning and set the stage for algebraic notation centuries later. Renowned for his analytical skill and innovative approach, Diophantus’ work profoundly influenced number theory and algebra, laying foundational ideas that shaped the development of mathematics for generations to come.

Standard Lesson

The Standard Lesson provides one-on-one tutoring for one hour at a rate of $85. This session is ideal for students who want focused, targeted support on specific topics and concepts. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s needs – ensuring that learning is efficient, clear, and productive.

Double Lesson

The Double Lesson offers two hours of intensive tutoring at a discounted price of $150, reflecting a $20 discount. This extended session is suitable for students who need extra time to tackle more complex topics or consolidate multiple areas of study in a single sitting.

Workshop

The Workshop is an intensive half-day lesson spanning four hours, priced at $200 (valued at $50 per hour). This session is designed for focused learning and exam preparation – ensuring every hour is used effectively to meet the student’s goals.

Bootcamp

The Bootcamp is a full-day, six-hour intensive lesson priced at $270 (valued at $45 per hour). This session is designed for students who want to make significant progress in a single day – consolidating knowledge and building confidence in a concentrated, productive environment.

✶ For Workshops and Bootcamps, students are encouraged to submit the content they wish to cover a week in advance so the tutor has time to prepare a tailored lesson plan.

Bertrand Russell
1872 – 1970

Bernhard Riemann

Weekend Bootcamp

The Weekend Bootcamp provides two days of intensive learning, with six hours of instruction per day, totaling 12 hours at $360 (valued at $30 per hour). This session is perfect for exam preparation or for gaining a comprehensive and structured overview of an upcoming subject. It provides an excellent opportunity for students looking to build a strong foundation and gain confidence early - offering a strategic advantage for those whose results play a critical role in university acceptance.

Free Lessons

Clients who refer a new student will receive a complimentary Standard Lesson once that student has completed a paid lesson. This can be a valuable way to save tutoring costs while helping a friend gain access to educational support.

Video Tutorial

Students receive a recorded video explaining worked solutions to preselected maths problems, valued at $60 per hour. Delivered via an unlisted YouTube link, the video is accessible for one month and is strictly for the student’s personal use. Students are only charged for the time it takes the tutor to record the video – not for preparation or editing time.

Written Exposition

Students receive a handwritten document containing carefully worked solutions to preselected maths problems, valued at $50 per hour. The duration of this service depends on the number and complexity of questions selected by the student.

Olga Ladyzhenskaya
1922 – 2004

Ladyzhenskaya was a Russian mathematician whose work profoundly advanced the theory of partial differential equations and mathematical physics. She made groundbreaking contributions to the study of fluid dynamics, particularly the Navier–Stokes equations, and developed fundamental results on the existence, uniqueness, and smoothness of solutions to nonlinear problems. Ladyzhenskaya also advanced functional analysis and applied mathematical methods, influencing both theory and computation. These servics cater to students who enjoy learning from clear, annotated notes or prefer a self-paced learning environment. Students who are too busy or too anxious to attend live tutorials may find this style of learning to be more natural and effective.

Alan Turing
1912 – 1954

Turing was a British mathematician and logician whose work laid the foundations of modern computer science and theoretical mathematics. He formalized the concept of computation with the Turing machine, proving that certain problems are undecidable, and developed key ideas in algorithmic theory and computability. Turing made pioneering contributions to cryptography, including breaking the Enigma code during World War II, and advanced mathematical biology with models of morphogenesis. Renowned for his profound intellect and innovative thinking, his discoveries profoundly influenced mathematics, computation, and the development of modern technology.

Special Offer

The Special Offer provides a 20% discount during the school term and a 30% discount during school holidays, and is subject to specific conditions. To qualify, students must commit to weekly tuition for the entire calendar year (excluding Christmas and New Year’s week) and have attended at least four lessons within four consecutive weeks at the Standard Lesson rate. Missed lessons cannot be rescheduled without a valid doctor’s certificate, though up to three missed lessons can be recouped by adding an extra hour to the next session. This offer delivers significant savings while maximizing learning benefits, though availability is at the tutor’s discretion.
